Margaret Synan hosted the Elizabeth Milnes Millefiori Workshop on Friday, June 28th, from 10 am to 3 pm.
Liz showed the class members how to cut out their fabric using three sets of templates and how to piece the central star. By the end of class everyone had done this step. The next two rounds were the same as the first, only using parallelograms instead of diamonds.

Every class member was given a set of directions so they can finish the star at home. Attached to this article is a photo of the reference book Millefiori Quilts by Willyne Hammerstein. Newbies should use the book labelled 1.
We had tuna and chicken salad sandwiches and fruit for lunch, gourmet cookies for dessert and tea, lemonade and coffee to drink. It was yummy.
Thanks to everyone for your support, especially Daisy Watson and Linda Kaup.
Sincerely, Margaret Synan
